Do something the slow way; it’s far more convenient to buy bread from a store, but sometimes I like to take a few hours to bake a loaf of bread, kneading it by hand, letting it fill our house with its scent, and then eating it while still warm from the oven. Whether it’s baking bread, washing dishes by hand, or driving the scenic route, allow yourself to choose the slow way sometimes if it is more enjoyable and meditative for you.

Faites quelque chose lentement; il est beaucoup plus pratique d’acheter du pain en magasin, mais de temps en temps il m’arrive de prendre quelques heures pour cuire une miche de pain, le malaxer à la main, le laisser remplir la maison de son odeur, pour ensuite le manger pendant qu’il est encore chaud à la sortie du four. Que ce soit à cuire du pain, laver la vaisselle à la main, ou conduire sur la route touristique, permettez-vous de choisir la façon lente quelques fois si c’est plus agréable et vous amène à la méditation.
